As part of its International Strategy, the University of Waikato places significant importance on the growth of Transnational Education (TNE) through its partnership arrangements with Tertiary institutions offshore that deliver our programmes of study.

We are seeking an energetic, highly motivated and organised person to provide high level support in the management of the existing TNE projects and in particular the University's Joint Institute with Zhejiang University City College (ZUCC). The position is based at the University's campus in Hamilton, New Zealand.

In this role you will focus on the programme management associated with the TNE partnership arrangements. You will work with senior staff at the University, stakeholders and staff at our partner institutions to ensure that policies, procedures and processes across all areas of operation are integrated and relevant to ensure success of the partnerships. There may also be an opportunity to be involved in business development activities to grow the portfolio.

Relevant experience managing complex programmes of work from initiation to completion, preferably in an academic setting, and demonstrated highly developed interpersonal skills, with a strong track record in establishing and maintaining positive relationships, are essential requirements. Experience working with financial management processes and budget maintenance is also required together with the ability to use ICT to achieve desired outcomes.

You will have a tertiary qualification in a relevant field or relevant work experience, strong attention to detail, the ability to think strategically and meet deadlines, and possess sound analytical, negotiation, planning and facilitation skills together with the ability to maintain accurate records of meetings and discussions. Knowledge of the tertiary education sector in New Zealand and/or Asia together with an understanding of transnational education will be an advantage.

Salary will be in the range $84,190 to $93,544 per year depending on qualifications, skills and experience.
