General Manager - Client Services

Role
 
The General Manager Client Services is a newly rescoped role that will ensure FishServe continues to deliver to its clients within a regulatory environment. This role is an integral part of the senior leadership team and is responsible for leading the delivery of operational services to the commercial fishing industry. In this role you will be managing the Client Services team to ensure a high level of customer service is provided to the industry while also ensuring compliance within the framework of the Fisheries Act, FishServes service agreement with MPI, and associated standards and specification.
 
 
Candidate
 
The ideal candidate for this role will have a client focussed background and an ability to think strategically and implement actions to deliver on organisation goals. You will have advanced leadership skills and be able to develop and maintain professional relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
You will have a highly collaborative approach, partnering skills and the ability to gain support and cooperation from others at all levels and be able to empower your team to perform at their best to ensure they’re delivering on the organisation’s priorities.
 
You will also need to demonstrate the following;
  • Excellent judgement and problem-solving skills
  • At least five years’ experience managing a client-focussed operations team.
  • Experience working in a commercial environment and promoting services and skills to stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present to groups of stakeholders
  • Understanding of technology and ability to conceptualise system solutions to operational issues
  • Understanding of legislation and experience in providing services in a statutory environment
 
Whilst an understanding of the commercial fishing industry would be advantageous for this role, it is not essential.
