Leading Not-For-Profit Trust based in Napier

The Whatever It Takes Trust (WIT) seeks an experienced person able to maintain the current quality service levels they achieve. The Trust provides home based rehabilitation services through programs designed to work in partnership with our clients, their family, the local community and support networks achieving quality delivery of home based rehabilitation and services to the Hawke’s Bay region. WIT has contracts and relationships with the Hawke’s Bay DHB, Work and Income, Ministry of Urban Housing and Development, and other local bodies. It is the lead agency for the Hawke's Bay consortium Housing First programme.

Reporting to the Trust Board you will be responsible for providing structure and strategic planning support to the organisation. Excellence of service delivery to our clients is paramount. You will facilitate the front-line delivery of service to WIT’s clients through the provision of effective, efficient and enabling support services that we offer. You will have a strong background in securing funding and have the ability to manage the Trust’s key contracts and service level agreements. Your strong communication skills will enable you to represent the Trust well at sector, service provider and agency meetings.

This is an all-encompassing role with overall operational accountability. You will have significant previous leadership experience at a senior level, ideally with an understanding of mental illness.

Your ability to demonstrate experience in financial control within a significant budget, strategic and business planning together with your skill in achieving excellence in service delivery through high levels of staff engagement are essential.

You will have a well-developed understanding of government agency operations and the necessary know-how to secure our vital funding. You will have a commercially lean focus, and strategic thinking ability, along with a strong desire to succeed, a public presence and the ability to successfully influence others and gain their confidence.
