Accountant

Victim Support is a nationwide charity which provides information, support and advocacy services to victims of serious crime and trauma.  Based in our National Office in Thorndon, our busy Corporate Services team is looking for an experienced Accountant to support our growing organisation and make a difference in the lives of victims. 

The successful applicant will deliver financial information to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.  They will contribute to the development of effective financial processes and systems and support the GM Corporate Services in the leadership of the Corporate Services team and related activities.

We’re looking for an organised, flexible self-starter with:

  • Current CA/ACA/CPA qualification or equivalent
  • 4+ years’ experience in management and financial accounting
  • Experience in developing/enhancing processes and systems
  • Prior CRM database experience
  • Excellent analytical skills and an eye for detail
  • Demonstrated strong customer service focus

Please note that:

  • You will be required to undergo pre-employment vetting by the NZ Police. 
  • Applicants must have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
  • Remuneration will be commensurate with experience.
