Established in 2003 First Light has developed a high-value supply chain of 100% grass-fed Venison and Wagyu to domestic and international markets which consistently delivers its producers the above market returns that New Zealand farmers deserve. First Light is entering an exciting phase in the growth of its successful Wagyu beef business. With over 300 suppliers and 30,000 head of cattle from Northland to Southland this is a key role to help build advocacy for the First Light Wagyu model and support our existing suppliers with achieving their very best.
We are seeking a driven individual who can demonstrate high levels of competence in the following areas:
- Dairy and Beef farming systems nationwide
- Farm system modelling using Farmax or similar
- A strong network across dairy and beef industry professionals
- A technical bent coupled with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
Ideally you will be an experienced farm consultant with 10 years+ experience, with a degree in Agriculture and an in-depth working knowledge of farm systems in beef and dairy. Alternatively, you can demonstrate a strong track record of success in the farm consulting industry. You will be a self-starting, team player looking for a challenge at an exciting stage of the business’s growth.
