Alzheimers Southland Inc. provides support, education and advocacy to clients and their families who are affected by dementia.

Due to our Education Officer moving to Australia, we are now seeking a professional with a background of social work and community involvement to deliver our Cognitive Stimulation Therapy classes and Living Memories Club services, along with general duties as a Community Support Officer.

It is essential you have great organisation skills, good computer skills and can relate very well to people.

To be successful in this role, we need to know you have:

  • Experience dealing with the needs of older adults, including those with dementia and/or disabilities.
  • A formal qualification or significant interest/experience in Social Work, Health, Disability or Aged Support.
  • A full New Zealand driver’s license.

This is a part time role of 15 to 20 hours per week, with the possibility of a job share arrangement (subject to specific requirements being met).

Remuneration will be discussed with the successful applicant/s.

It’s envisioned that this position will commence from Monday, 27 January 2020.
