Milwaukee Sales Representative/ Job Site Specialist - Wellington

As part of Techtronic Industries (TTI Group), Milwaukee is leading the field with fantastic new and innovative industrial power tools and accessories.  Due to an internal promotion, we are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic Sales Representative in Wellington to develop and enhance our Milwaukee business and customer base across an already successful area.

About the opportunity

The key objective of this exciting and challenging position is to develop positive growth of sales volume and profit for TTI New Zealand within Milwaukee outlets whilst achieving preferred partnership status within our customer group end user. Targeting and converting strategic users and enhancing brand awareness in your territory, you will be a team player that works closely with the distributor sales teams in your area, to facilitate end user conversions through cold calling and by making in-field joint sales calls with distributor sales staff.

Duties will include:

  • Developing a positive personal business relationship with all customers
  • Regularly demonstrate and promote Milwaukee products
  • Identifying and secure new distributors
  • Presenting new products and obtain core range acceptance with your customers
  • Identifying major users of Power Tools and Accessories and make contact, in order to promote our products
  • Merchandising brands effectively and maintain first class presentation in stores
  • Monitor competitor pricing, product and activities
  • Maintaining up-to-date database of all customers in your region
  • Organising and attending trade days and exhibitions
  • Effectively present and sell the Milwaukee advantage to users
  • Identifying and developing a plan to convert strategic (large) users in the Plumbing, Electrical, Mechanical and HVAC trades
  • Executing joint end user calls with distributor sales staff
  • Preparing and present monthly recaps and monthly conversion estimates
  • Driving in-field conversions, trialing of new product and increasing brand awareness

About you

You will have previous experience in sales and hands on experience with tools is desirable. You will be confident and engaging in demonstrating and presenting to groups, using your technical knowledge of tools. Building and maintaining long standing business relationships is crucial, as are enthusiasm and outstanding communication skills. You must hold a current driver's license and be willing to work occasional weekends and evenings in order to attend trade shows and special events throughout the designated area.
