IT Support Engineer

The Company

Having been in operation for over 10, this NZ owned business has been growing exponentially over the past 5 years and are now at the stage where they need an IT Support Engineer to take ownership of the infrastructure and join their close-knit team. They operate from bright and modern offices in the CBD Fringe, offer flexible working hours and an opportunity to really grow your career.

The Role

As an IT Support Engineer you will be performing tasks within the Level 2 and Level 3 scope - including anything from troubleshooting and tracking issues, working on projects and BAU, liaise with clients in person or over the phone, maintain and create documentation, take part in DR exercises, monitor and perform health checks of the environment, amongst other tasks. Your outstanding technical know-how is the key that lets you provide ground-breaking solutions, but it is your unwavering customer focus and dedication to a professional approach that customers will remember you for.

Your Skills & Experience

  • Excellent knowledge in supporting and troubleshooting Windows and MacOS.
  • Administration of AD, O365 and Google Apps Suite.
  • Virtualization experience, preferably with VMWare.
  • Dell SAN experience and any NAS vendor/product is desirable.
  • Networks essentials and best practices (protocols, firewalls, routers, switches).
  • Great to have experience in AWS or Azure core capabilities.
  • Scripting with PowerShell or BASH.
  • Exceptional communication skills and excellent telephone manner.
