Property Investment Consultant
Position Description: An ideal candidate would be someone who has experience as either a mortgage broker or wealth adviser for mom and dad clients. Additionally, they would be AFA qualified-- but it's not a necessity: the company would be willing to sponsor the right person in obtaining their AFA. There's tremendous upside potential based on the commission structure of the role, with an opportunity to earn around $250K. You'd be working on a team with other consultants, and your commission would depend on combined output. The role demands high emotional intelligence and excellent sales skills and an ideal individual would have a background in either finance or property investments. To be suitable for this role, you'll need to be comfortable spending most of your time out of the office and meeting clients. You will not need to generate leads and all leads will come from an internal support network. 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Service existing and prospective clients to discuss their investment needs.
  • Engage with the wider team to promote the Company at networking and promotional events.
  • Working closely with clients to analyse investment opportunities and assessing the personal financial information relating to investment opportunities.
  • Prepare and provide suitable recommendations for existing and prospective clients.
  • Presenting investment opportunities and related analysis while pitching the proposed course of action clients.
  • Assisting organisation to secure sales of real estate from Developer's to Clients by personally presenting client property investment plan meetings.
  • Sourcing Clients by way of acceptable techniques/methods.
  • Arranging and running presentations for Clients for the purposes of securing sales of real estate.
  • Preparation of Agreements for Sale and Purchase and arranging for execution by the parties.
  • Assisting with preparation of due diligence/information and providing to Clients.
  • Engages in regular research and reading to stay apprised about the state of the NZ economy, general current events and research across core and adjacent property sectors to inform appropriate property investment strategy.
  • Maintains current knowledge of the debt and equity capital markets, including interest rates and investment returns related to the property market.
  • Maintains and develops relationships with, mortgage brokers, lawyers, accountants, insurance brokers, property developers and vendors to remain informed of market activity and originate transactions.
  • Develop and identify new business sales strategies.

To be considered for this role you will have the following skills and experience:
  • Degree qualified with an excellent academic record (not necessarily finance or economics).
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Understanding of investment strategy, wealth creation and retirement planning tools.
  • Client orientated.
  • Superb presentation/interpersonal skills.
  • At least 3+ years of experience in a similar role, you could have gained experience in an advisory role.
  • Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours.
  • AFA beneficial, but not a pre-requisite non-AFA will be considered.
