Sport Canterbury is the Regional Sports Trust (RST) serving the Canterbury and West Coast region.  Our Vision is ‘More People, More Active, More Often’ and everything we do is about getting and keeping people engaged in sport and physical activity.

Our 50-strong team advocates for the value of play, physical activity, sporting participation and healthy choices.

We are recruiting an Event Activations team, to be the face and voice of the work we do, communicating with our existing stakeholders as well as the wider community.

You will assist us by increasing a wider understanding within the community of our purpose, including our services and advocacy role. You will represent Sport Canterbury’s brand at events, communicating what we do, capturing customer feedback and working alongside our Events, Activations and Communications teams to support the Communications strategy.

Success in this role requires high energy, excellent communication skills and a passion for meeting new people from all walks of life.

This role will be on a casual basis, with the availability to work weekends, to support the demand within our organisation, particularly in the busy spring and summer season. The role will be based at various locations around Christchurch, with our main office being based in Hornby. Full training will be provided.

The candidate will need a full, clean driver’s license and must have the right to live and work in New Zealand.
