Turn Coordinator - Flight Operations

Flight Operations?

The Menzies Flight Operations team is the heartbeat of our aviation operation at Auckland International Airport.

Permanent Part Time (Minimum 60 hours per fortnight). 

We are currently seeking a part time Turn Coordinator to ensure Menzies Aviation obtain the highest level of on-time performance for our airline clients. 

Main duties and accountabilities:

  • Meet arrivals and departure of all flights ensuring on-time performance is achieved and potential delays mitigated
  • Liaise with all areas of the company i.e. Cargo, Ramp and Passenger Services ensuring that all flights are turned smoothly
  • Communicate with  Menzies Operations and customer airlines if problems with the turn arise
  • Allocate appropriate delay codes as required
  • Drive and connect the airbridge to the aircraft
  • Follow CAA regulations and report safety issues

Operational Duties:

  • Manage the RSMS updates for all flights
  • Update flight information through FIDS system
  • Maintain and check all relevant flight documentation
  • Provide coverage of air to ground (VHF) and Menzies Aviation’s radios as well as telephones
  • Preparation of general documentation and movement messages for DHL freighters
  • Support and assist Load Sheet officers as required
  • Assist with Passenger Services duties as required

The suitable applicant must have:

  • A current NZ Full Driver's Licence and reliable transport 
  • A legal right to work in New Zealand
  • 24/7 availability on a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays
  • A positive working style and excellent people skills
  • Safety, quality and customer service focus
  • Hands-on proactive approach to problem solving
  • The ability to plan and prioritize effectively

Applicants will also need to pass a Ministry of Justice check and pre-employment medical (including drug and alcohol testing) prior to commencement.
