As COO, you must be an inspiring leader, with a proactive focus on the future of “expert assisted” travel, and be able to see the “big picture” in a variety of settings, as it relates to Tourwriter. Additionally, you must be pragmatic and have a strong business acumen (ideally with deep travel and SaaS experience) to grow the company’s revenue in a scalable way, while balancing the inevitable cyclicality of the industry. The COO will be tasked with working closely with the :

  • CRO to drive profitable revenue growth;

  • CEO to ensure efficient delivery to the operational plans; and

  • the Head Accountant to ensure company finances are well managed, and raised sufficiently in advance to enable accurate planning

  • The People and Culture specialist, to ensure the company has effective onboarding, training and performance review processes for our people

The COO is part of the Senior Executive Team, and acts as a direct liaison between the CEO and all teams within the company and communicates to the Board on behalf of management. The COO will also need to communicate on behalf of the company to shareholders, employees and other stakeholders.

Expected Skills

  • Excellent organizational skills, with emphasis on priorities and goal setting

  • Superior presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Technical skills required to understand and propose products or solutions by focusing on client requirements

  • Ability to communicate information, whether technical or non-technical to staff members and customers, in a clear and concise manner

  • Able to work autonomously, self manage, goal and success orientated.

  • Clear understanding of best practice prospecting, lead nurturing, networking and growing accounts.
