Weed Biocontrol Technician

About the opportunity

We are seeking a full-time weed biocontrol technician for a three to four month fixed-term period to assist with weed biocontrol projects, based at Lincoln. This will involve maintaining cultures of weed biocontrol agents plus their host and test plants in containment.

This position is fixed-term until the end of February 2020, full-time, and is based at our Lincoln site.

About you

The ideal candidate will be competent in working with and rearing insects; gathering and recording data accurately and have the ability and willingness to work both independently and as part of a team. Good time management skills and experience managing multiple tasks in a research and/or commercial services environment are also required. Applicants should have a postgraduate qualification in agriculture, biology, horticulture or similar field.
