Level 2/3 Desktop Support

Our client is a New Zealand owned and operated Managed Services Provider, that provides business continuity services to many Auckland based businesses. They provide remote support, onsite support, workshop and server maintenance, so businesses can outsource the service and support of their entire IT network for complete peace of mind.

On their behalf, we are currently looking for a responsible and capable individual to work within their Service Desk team based in Botany for a contract starting in November through to mid February, (but potentially could be extended).

To be successful in this role you will need to be a  Level 2 – Service Desk Support Technician and have experience in End User support.

 We are only looking at those who have experience worked in an MSP environment before.

Experience/ skills required

  •  Must be a strong level 2 with some Level 3 experience.
  • Ability/ experience in providing remote service desk support to a variety of businesses and end users
  • Combination of server, desktop & application support
  • Office 365 experience
  • A general knowledge of technical infrastructure from desktop to firewall.
  • An understanding of backup systems and software.
  • Good technical diagnostic & problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and spoken English, with a great phone manner. (Essential)
  • Support of Terminal Services, and Citrix-based cloud infrastructure
  • An understanding of ITIL and customer service principles

 It would be great if you also had…. 

  • Experience with ConnectWise or other ticketing systems
  • Veeam or Shadowprotect 
  • Experience with  Hyper V, Azure  and some experience with Data centres
  • Be a Microsoft Certified System Engineer
  • Cisco experience

And REALLY GREAT if you has some .…

  • WatchGuard, Citrix, SharePoint experience
