National Sales Manager

This role leads the national sales and channel management functions of Winstone Wallboards (WWB) ensuring the strategies and activities are enhancing WWB market leadership position, market share is maintained, value and price is optimised and the overall WWB performance is meeting all agreed budgets, targets and strategic objectives. Accountable for revenue exceeding 200 million and with 19 reports the role is a busy, challenging and exciting one where you will -
  • - Negotiate annual rebates and loyalty payments to major merchants and end users to ensure margin management
  • - Develop and maintain WWB key trade relationships with CEOs / General Managers/ Directors of key accounts, including major merchants, installers, group home builders and key resellers
  • - Manage advertising rebate expenditure with merchants.
  • - Lead and develop the National Sales team
  • - Foster a high performance and principled culture based on excellence in customer service and performance growth
To apply successfully you have developed a high performance sales leadership career within the building industry or potentially from reseller channel development of a manufactured product range. Highly principled and action oriented you can speak with conviction of creating and driving vision and demonstrate strong knowledge of the key levers that drive profitable and sustainable growth. Another key requirement is your proven ability to hold key commercial relationships across competing clients, negotiating win- win supply and marketing agreements and ensuring a level playing field. No managers need apply, we seek a leader, a person most content at the head of their team, developing and coaching their people and setting the pace in the market.

Winstone Wallboards is New Zealand's only manufacturer and largest marketer of gypsum plasterboard, drywall systems, associated products and services. The company has been operating since 1927 and manufactures plasterboard systems under the GIB® brand. Winstone Wallboards has facilities in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch, and is part of the Building Products Division of Fletcher Building.
