The opportunity:

Operating in the quality-focused environment of our Takanini site, this is a great opportunity to join our highly experienced maintenance team as a Mechanical Maintenance Specialist and ensure our site performs at its peak.

In this high impact role, you’ll be a key member of our Maintenance Team, responsible for mechanical maintenance services across the site. Working closely with our Electrical Specialists you’ll use your solid problem-solving skills to confidently fault find and repair breakdowns on our automated, high speed manufacturing, packing and utilities equipment.

Your self-motivated nature and professional approach will also see you carrying out preventative maintenance work, and driving process reliability with industry-leading automated technology to improve machine up time.

This role operates on a permanent night-shift (6pm-6am) roster that will see you working 4 nights on, 4 nights off.

What you will bring and develop:


To succeed in this role, you’ll need to have significant knowledge and experience on preventative and reliability maintenance strategies and a strong Health and Safety focus. You’ll need excellent maintenance and diagnostics ability and plenty of experience maintaining service assets and high-speed processing, filling and packing lines from within the dairy industry. As a confident self-starter you’ll be someone who can work both independently and in a team to achieve key performance outcomes.

  • Relevant Mechanical Trade qualification
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders
  • Experience with CMMS systems (MEX preferred)
