Administrator ~ School of Social Practice (Re advertised)

Full-time, permanent

Are you a first-class administrator who has initiative and can accurately coordinate data?

Are you ready and excited for a new challenge?

Bethlehem Tertiary Institute (BTI) in Tauranga (Bay of Plenty) is seeking such a person to provide a high standard of support to the School of Social Practice.

BTI is a Category One private tertiary provider registered, approved and accredited with the NZQA (New Zealand Qualifications Authority) to deliver professional preparation qualifications. We are relational, supportive and committed to our chosen fields of expertise. Working collegially, we collaborate in and across teams and affirm, enable and empower our people so that they can grow. We aspire to be agile, responsive and innovative in what we do and how we do it.

It is prerequisite to this role that you can demonstrate a wholehearted embracing of BTI’s vision to be ‘a faithful expression of the Kingdom of God on earth’ and to its community values: a Biblical worldview as formational, strength-based missional service, Treaty-based relationships, and personal and professional inquiry and integration.

As the Administrator for the School of Social Practice you will be a part of the Support Services Team, reporting to the Team Leader, Support Services, and working closely with the Head of School, School of Social Practice. You will have proven experience in administration and have worked in a tertiary education setting. As an efficient and self-motivated administrator, you will be expected to accurately maintain records of students from their initial enrolment through to graduation, and provide general support for the Head of School. This is a fast paced and multi-faceted role that will require both an intense attention to detail and a flexible and adaptable attitude – no two days are the same!

Being based in the Bay of Plenty presents the opportunity for an enviable lifestyle. Ours is a place of a positive environment; a rich coastal paradise where cultures embrace and the natural generosity of our people is as abundant as our fertile land and open seas. Tauranga is the largest city in the Bay of Plenty and one of the fastest growing population centres in the country. It is close to Auckland, Rotorua and Hamilton, and just a 15 minute drive from one of New Zealand's most popular beach towns, Mount Maunganui. We have a growing regional economy and thriving knowledge and innovation community, and with our quality schools, it’s a great time to move.

It’s not every day a career opportunity like this arises. Bethlehem Tertiary Institute focuses on growing great hearts and minds and our people are at the heart of everything we do.

Join us and be a part of our bright future.
