Are you an experienced criminal fraud investigator looking for a new challenge?

We have a kaitiaki role across the Ministry - protecting and looking after our organisation so we have great people, processes and technology.

The role of Senior Investigator is an existing role that is responsible for conducting audits and investigations, providing risk assessments and develop counter-fraud methodologies to ensure that health funds are applied legitimately and appropriately.

As a senior member of the team you will be advising, mentoring and coaching investigative staff whilst managing the more complex and serious investigations assigned to the Auckland office.

To be successful in this role we are looking for you to demonstrate a high level of experience managing complex investigations through to prosecution. As an expert in the field you will have extensive knowledge of criminal fraud law and other statutory requirements, along with a good understanding of the health sector environment and issues related to funding and performance. You will enjoy sharing your knowledge and wisdom with peers to support their growth and development.

Ideally you will have Police Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) experience or similar investigative training.

Some domestic travel is required as part of this role.

The Ministry of Health is the kaitiaki of the health and disability system in New Zealand. We are responsible for providing active stewardship and leadership across the nations health and disability system.
