Territory Manager

Walter & Wild is a New Zealand Food Manufacturing company with a substantial portfolio of iconic brands including Hubbards, I Love Food Co., Aunt Betty’s, Hansell’s, Vitafresh, Greggs and Alfa One. It has manufacturing and warehouse facilities based at its head office in Penrose, Auckland. Production lines include steam baking, hot fill glass, plastic, and more!

We have multiple opportunities for three exceptional Territory Managers to join our Sales team on a full-time basis and provide cover in the following regions:

  1. Two x Territory Managers for the Auckland Region
  2. One x Territory Manager for the Hawkes Bay/ Wairarapa Region

Reporting to the National Field Sales Manager you will be responsible for the growth and development of our brands to maximise both sales and distribution growth while managing trade spend targets. There may be some regular overnight travel in this role, and In addition you will be managing a Team of Part Time Merchandisers across the territory. 

To be successful for this role, you will:

  • Have 2+ years experienced within an FMCG sales environment.
  • Ability to build strong business relationships with Key buyers within your territory
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills 
  • Confident self-starter with high energy and drive, combined with strong organisational and planning skills
  • Have a clean driver’s licence record and have a valid store safe pass
  • Must display strong work ethic and be results driven 
  • Have excellent understanding of business data and be confident in presenting to stores 
  • Must be able to demonstrate ability in trade math

As a Team player, you are known for your honesty, integrity and communication skills as well as your ability to successfully juggle multiple priorities.
