Reporting to the EVP of Customer Experience, E-Commerce and Sales Operations, this opportunity based in our East Tamaki head office is best suited to a commercially minded management accountant keen to bring their expertise to a pivotal role where their actions will influence important change. Responsible for optimising and delivering management accounting outcomes in partnership with the leadership team to increase financial performance and profitable growth of the Global CEX and Sales Operation, experience managing budgets of $50m-$100m or more is a firm prerequisite, as is innate comfort building relationships at all levels - we're a human-centred business, and it will be essential to build rapport and collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders, from entry level through to CEO.


As a key business partner of the leadership team, you will:

  • Develop plans, strategies, budgets/forecasts and manage operating processes and programs that improve revenue, efficiencies and cost reduction
  • Partner with business leaders to support and contribute to the success of financial and non-financial KPIs
  • Create reports summarising current & forecasted financial position
  • Be a commercially driven, system-oriented "big thinker", able to visualise the overall desired outcome as well as focus on key details, and communicate effectively
  • Actively monitor and analyse business performance and results and conduct analysis of past, present and expected operations to create insights and lift performance
  • Build and maintain strong, constructive relationships at various levels of the business
  • Assist key stakeholders and other relevant parties in interpreting financial information
  • Contribute to and lead special projects as required


You'll need:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification - University undergraduate degree in Chartered Accountant as a minimum
  • Proven management accountancy experience within a medium/large distribution or retail organisation, responsible for budgets of $50m+
  • Strong financial understanding and analytical skills with a demonstrated knowledge of pricing and adjustments, logistics, inventory management and e-commerce processes
  • A deep understanding of what makes customers tick, with the ability to use insights to enhance customer experience including translation of financial data & insights into formats that are easily understood and utilised by customers to drive business results
  • Great stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Expert understanding of the levers required to deliver profitable growth across the global sales and customer experience functions
  • To be adaptable and comfortable under pressure; able to effectively cope with change and 'shift gears' easily
  • A high level of competency in using and leveraging capabilities of business systems, able to learn new systems quickly
  • To be self-starting and delivery-focused with a high measure of drive, energy and engagement
