• THIS OPPORTUNITY:

 

We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and dedicated Securities Settlements Officer to be part of our close-knit team with a positive culture.

 

Your Key responsibilities will include:

• Facilitating securities and treasury settlements, cash flow management and EFT functions in a precise and efficient manner;

• Undertaking preparatory work, transaction processing, and control and reconciliations tasks;

• Operation and maintenance of the firm’s securities and bank accounts;

• Preparing daily cash reconciliation and reporting;

• Liaise with counterparties in relation to all daily settlements and funding;

• Process all authorised fund transfer requests;

• Follow-up transactions prior to the end of day to ensure all transfers are successfully completed in accordance with settlement policies and procedures;

• Establish and maintain a complete and current database of settlement details for record-keeping purposes;

• Identifying and processing all incoming and outgoing batch payments to and from the firm’s bank account and client stock trading accounts.

 

 

Skills and experience Required:

• Relevant tertiary degree in Accounting / Finance;

• At least one-year settlements / finance / accounts experience;

• Advanced computing capabilities with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook;

• Knowledge of the full settlement cycle of capital markets products and private banking products, including but not limited to securities, derivatives, options, bonds, ETFs and funds;

• High level of skill in numerical accuracy and efficiency, with great attention to detail and ability to multi-task and meet deadlines are a necessity;

• Excellent organisational, time management and problem-solving skills;

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a friendly ‘can do’ attitude, and a strong    desire to contribute positively to the team environment;

• Fluent in Chinese is a bonus but not a must;

• Must be Eligible to work in New Zealand with a valid working Visa.
