About the role

Providing an exceptional level of customer service

Advise customers of their policy entitlements, lodge customer claims and explain the claims and repair processes as required

Processing of renewals, new business, alterations and cancellations

Analyse client requirements, providing the best cover solutions, setting up new policies and sending proposals

Negotiate rates and terms with underwriters and build relationship to meet client needs

Be proactively involved in unpaid invoicing

 

About you

You should;

Have a minimum 3 years’ experience in Broker Support role in commercial fire and general and a strong understanding of NZ Insurance policies and wordings

Understand the elements of insurance and broking and have the ability to negotiate terms with insurance company underwriters

Be a highly commercial and proactive achiever focused on delivering results while meeting client needs and making your contribution to the team

Solution focused with strong problem-solving abilities

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic changing environment

Motivated and goal orientated

Flexible and resilient with the ability to cope under pressure

Comfortable using multiple company and supplier systems

Previous experience managing customer enquiries either face to face or perhaps in a busy call centre or customer environment

Demonstrated strong inter-personal communication and problem solving skills

Intermediate computing skills in MS Word, Excel

The ability to multi-task and handle a range of products in a highly regulated environment

Be passionate about helping people and finding a solution to their needs

Have a demonstrated track record of performance against targets/deadlines/goals/KPI's

Proactive and not afraid to take the initiative

Demonstrate high level of ownership and independence

Experienced in Multipac and Insight Brokers CRM would be preferred

Have New Zealand Residency or Citizenship and be fluent in English
