Packing Operator - Part Time

Sanitarium Auckland Manufacturing is looking for a packing operator to work within our Production department on a Permanent Part-Time basis. The role will be 26 hours spread across 3 shifts.

The Packing Operator leads the whole packing process to ensure that quality products are produced safely in full, on time and within specification for supply to distribution. They will be responsible for operating, monitoring and adjusting machines to achieve production target output.

We are looking for someone who is self-motivated and has a professional attitude toward their work which will assist in making a positive impact in their work environment.

To be successful in your application you will have:

  • Previous machine operating experience
  • Minimum of two years experience in a food manufacturing or food processing environment.
  • Demonstrate an understanding and commitment to WHS, food safety and quality in the workplace.
  • Have good attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Demonstrate initiative and be able to work unsupervised when required.
  • Be reliable and able to work in a team environment.
  • Have well developed interpersonal skills.
  • Be flexible as required.  
  • NCEA Level 1, 2 or equivalent education would be beneficial
  • Experience in Good Manufacturing Process (GMP), Food Safety, Hazard Awareness and Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Work Health and Safety (WHS) is highly desirable.

If you are successful, it may include online, paper-based, and/or functional testing as well as interviews and reference checking.
