Training Co-Ordinator

We are looking for a Training Co-ordinator to join our team within the NZSIS (New Zealand Security Intelligence Service) Capability Directorate.

As the Training Co-ordinator, you will coordinate the NZSIS operational training work programme, supporting trainers with administrative work and adding value by improving systems, processes and logistics management.

We are looking for a highly motivated person who has experience providing coordination support, preferably in a training environment, and experience coordinating training courses and/or learning and development projects. A proactive approach to identifying ways to improve our systems, process and the way we work is also essential in this role.

Our ideal candidate will also demonstrate:

  • Exceptional planning and organisational skills
  • Flexibility to respond to changing and competing priorities with an ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships and engage with a diverse range of people at all levels

To be eligible for employment within the NZIC you must have been a NZ citizen for at least 10 years. Alternatively you must hold NZ Permanent Residence or hold a current NZ Residency Class Visa and have been a citizen of UK, USA, Canada or Australia for at least 10 years.

You must be able to obtain and maintain a high level security clearance. Ordinarily to obtain this level of clearance candidates must have a 15 year checkable background in countries where meaningful and reliable checks can be undertaken. Where requisite checks are unable to be made, the candidate application may not be able to be progressed.
