ASSISTANT ACCOUNTANT

MISSION

Reporting to the Financial Controller this role is responsible for assisting the Finance Team to operate efficiently and effectively by providing accurate, relevant and timely information (both financial and general) within company guidelines.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

•Assist with month-end procedures (Journals, reports, and uploads).

•Assist with accounts payable and related functions

•Bank reconciliations

•Daily bank and revenue files and checking of control accounts to ensure that they balance daily

•Preparation of GST returns

•Relieve Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable for annual leave cover as required

•Assist the Financial Controller in other finance areas

•Produce ad hoc analytical reports as required

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENT

•Strong Excel skills. 

•Great attention to detail.

•Experience in finance and analytics for hospitality.

•Ability to work independently and has good initiative under a dynamic environment.

•Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of employees.

•Strong time management and organizational skills

•1 - 2 years experience in a similar role
