Position Summary:

We are looking for an ICT Systems Engineer who is ready to contribute to a challenging and complex project.  

The role will start in Auckland, with the successful candidate ideally later being located in the Waikato region from late 2020 until late 2021 (negotiable) where Honeywell will provide Electronic Systems Solutions as part of a 25 year Public Private Partnership (PPP) consortium for a major new Development Project.

The ICT Systems Engineer is responsible for assisting the Project Management team on the delivery of complex ICT based electronic security and BMS projects to which they have been allocated. You will contribute to the design, engineering, configuration, implementation, and commissioning of ICT Infrastructure including Server, Storage, Network, Virtual Platforms as well as Enterprise Applications (Honeywell software such as EBI, DVM, EM).

Key Responsibilities

  • Review ICT Server / Storage / Network designs
  • Review and validate designs and quotes from partners
  • Engineer high-level designs ICT solutions
  • Audit and take responsibility for preventative maintenance such as patches and updates
  • Develop site-specific documentation including configuration, engineering, O+M testing etc.
  • Maintain critical working knowledge of networks, network principles, and IT processes.

You must have

  • A degree or considerable experience in an Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronic or similar Engineering discipline or trade.
  • Experience in ICT, Virtualization, Hardware, server & storage, and CISCO
  • Ability to work on large-scale and complex projects
  • Experience working on projects preferred

Appropriate security clearances need to be obtained for this role to gain access to correctional centres and other security requirements.
