Otago is New Zealand’s second largest region, spanning 32,000 square kilometres (or 12 per cent of New Zealand’s total land area). It incorporates the districts of Waitaki, Queenstown Lakes, Clutha and Central Otago and the city of Dunedin, and boasts a diverse landscape - from rugged coastlines to spectacular mountains. The region’s economy is as diverse as its landscapes. All of Otago has experienced growth over the past year, with Queenstown Lakes and Central Otago districts experiencing significant growth.

The Otago Councils’ with the support of the Provincial Growth Fund (PGF) and Government are seeking to appoint a team of three to work with the Economic Development Managers from across Otago to improve the economic wellbeing of Otago residents.

Our team from Enterprise Dunedin at the Dunedin City Council, is looking for a part-time fixed term (2 years) administration champion to support the Otago Regional Economic Development (ORED) Working group and economic activities across the region. This part-time role (9.25hrs) will help coordinate communications between the Councils’, as well as writing minutes, circulate information and ensure action points from the meetings are completed.

To be successful in this role we need you to have 1 or 2 years’ experience in an administrative role, being able to work independently within the scope of the role and prioritise and manage your tasks as required. You should feel confident in dealing with a range of people and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
