We are currently looking for experienced HSSE Process Safety Advisor to join a highly successful International Operator who have a high value on career growth and retention.  They are industry specialists in their sector and they pride themselves on using innovative technology and methodology.

As a member of the Process Safety Team this role will provide specialist expertise for the effective identification and management of major accident hazards and the development/ maintenance of HSSE Cases.  You will be required to identify opportunities and provide guidance on managing risks across the range of process safety issues ranging from the evaluation of existing facilities through to proving operations support of existing assets.

Reporting to the HSSE Manager you will also be responsible for:
  • Developing and maintaining HSSE safety cases/ bridging documents to ensure that they meet corporate and NZ Regulatory requirements.
  • Working closely with discipline engineering and relevant line leadership personnel to provide assurance of risk management for major accident hazards
  • Monitoring, reviewing, analysing and auditing of HSSE case compliance and to provide guidance on opportunities to improve and manage risk
  • Participating in incident investigations and audits as required
You will have excellent coaching capabilities, influencing and stakeholder management skills, the ability to communicate (verbally and written) effectively with stakeholders at all levels and you will have outstanding organisational skills including the ability to plan and execute against multiple deliverables and manage multiple stakeholder groups.  You will need to be able to work both autonomously and to collaborate and work effectively within a team environment.

You will have a relevant engineering and HSSE qualification and a minimum of 5 years industry experience.
