Firth has been supplying concrete and masonry products to the construction industry for over 90 years. Our strong customer relationships and passion for innovation make Firth New Zealand’s leading concrete supplier.  Comprising of three businesses, Certified Concrete, Masonry and Dricon, our products are sold either directly or via our channel partners who operate in the commercial and residential construction markets. Firth operates in every region across New Zealand and employs over 750 team members, across 80 sites. 

 

About the role 

Reporting to our Firth HR Manager, this is an opportunity for you to use your generalist experience to partner with our business leaders in order to drive performance.   This is an all-encompassing role; you will provide support to your client group from employment relations through to the areas of culture and talent. To enable this, you will have demonstrated performance in an HR role where you have had to balance the tactical and strategic areas of HR. We have over 750 people in more than 80 plant sites, so as part of our HR team, you’ll be busy! The good news is, the business appreciates and seeks our HR team’s support, so you’ll be a valued partner.

 

About you 

Driven by delivering great people practices; you will be courageous and resilient in your style. More than that, you will have a genuine desire to understand our operations and will tailor your approach to ensure HR initiatives support the wider business strategy. 

Your influencing and engagement skills will be critical to your success as you work with our team to lift capability. You will engage with individuals at all levels of the business through a pragmatic and solution-based approach to ensure your advice is sought and solutions implemented.
