The Dunedin Netball Board is looking for a standout candidate for this crucial role to ensure that we continue to deliver a quality sporting experience to all our members and the Dunedin community.
An experienced ‘superstar’ is required to take charge of Dunedin Netball’s numerous competitions, tournaments, programmes and administration as we strive to be the most successful sport in Dunedin, both on and off the Court.
The Dunedin Netball Operations Manager will be passionate about sport and demonstrate the experience, ability, commitment and drive required to:
o Co-ordinate and manage all aspects of Dunedin Netball activities including competitions, tournaments, development and representative programmes. It is a necessity that you are able to prepare Draws accurately, effectively and efficiently under pressure and you must be extremely organised with an attention to detail that any administrative guru would be proud of;
o Manage other staff and/or contractors engaged to achieve our strategic objectives and maintain overall co-ordination of activities undertaken by such persons.
o Build and maintain strong relationships with all Dunedin Netball players, coaches, officials and volunteers as well as other key stakeholders.
o Work with the direction of the Board to manage existing and future sponsorship partners.
o Work with the direction of the Board to manage all finances, including budgets, debtor, and creditor administration in Xero;
o Implement proactive initiatives which you or we come up with!
All applicants should show the ability to prioritise to meet deadlines and be highly motivated to achieve Dunedin Netball’s strategic outcomes. The Dunedin Netball Operations Manager must have the ability to solve problems, think on their feet and perform under pressure. They also need to illustrate excellent computer and communication skills including savvy social media skills.
Experience in the delivery of the outlined key competencies through relevant organisation experience and/or tertiary study will set candidates apart, as would an interest or understanding of Netball.
This is a full-time role but with the understanding that hours will fluctuate during the year. There is an expectation that some weeks will require significantly more time than others including some work in the evening and/or at weekends.
