Quantitative Analyst

Our client is a leading Wealth Management company who currently has a requirement for a Quantitative Analyst to conduct quantitative research to support the development of quantitative investment strategies, provide quantitative support for other investment activities whilst taking an active role in the operation of their quantitative equity portfolio.
 
Working closely with both the quantitative and wider investment management team on various projects including but not limited to, single factor simulations, attribution, research optimiser behaviour.  We are seeking a candidate who is an expansive thinker with an enquiring mind who will thrive in culture that is both collaborative and intellectually challenging. 
 
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
 
•             Quantitative research
•             Code development
•             Portfolio analysis
•             Trading process
•             Synthesis of 3rd party research
 
Key Skills and Experience:
 
•             Quantitative research - applied mathematics and statistics,       computer science, data analysis  
               and high dimensional optimisation
•             Financial instruments – traditional, derivatives, market behaviour
•             Ability to work with large data sets
•             Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and investigate unusual &/or outlying data
•             In-depth knowledge of Python coding – understanding of pandas/numpy/scripy an 
               advantage
•             Investment strategy, portfolio & risk analysis
•             Strong written and oral communication
