City Osteopaths Healthcare in central Wellington is looking for its next front desk team star!

Established in 1992, we have grown to become a large multidisciplinary healthcare practice, and provide excellence in Osteopathy, Cranial Osteopathy, Acupuncture, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Massage therapy, Naturopathy, Nutrition, Herbal Medicine, Hyperbaric Oxygen, Psychotherapy, Alexander Technique and Voice therapy. 

We need a new front desk team member to help us do what we do best, which is helping Wellingtonians out of pain and back to health.     

The Role

The front desk team's main purpose is to provide a welcoming face for our organisation and excellent customer care to our patients. This includes warmly greeting patients on arrival and checking them in, effective call handling and accurate appointment booking. Also there are other administrative duties to be juggled alongside the customer service aspect of the role as detailed below:

To be successful in this role you will have the following attributes:

  • You will be a well presented, self-motivated individual who is bright and enthusiastic with exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills

  • You have prior experience in a busy administrative and/or reception role. The ability to cope well under pressure is essential for this position

  • You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills including exceptional phone manner

  • You feel accountable for your work and take a sense of pride in doing your job well

  • You are empathetic and enjoy helping people feel happy and at ease when they arrive 

  • You enjoy being part of a friendly and supportive team

  • You are keen to learn new skills as our practice develops

  • You have the ability to prioritise work, meet deadlines and work accurately under conflicting time pressures

  • You have great attention to detail, organisation, accurate data entry and typing skills

  • Computer literacy and the ability to learn new programmes (We use Practice Management Software Gensolve)

  • Additional cover may be required weekday and Saturday morning.
