Auckland Zoo is internationally recognised as an innovative and leading zoo focussed on our work to inspire our visitors to value wildlife and to conserve threatened species.  A winner of national and international awards, it is home to 135 different species and more than 1,400 animals. 

We are looking for out-going, confident and enthusiastic customer service stars to join the team and work across various positions. You will move between our amazing WildZone gift shop and the exciting Visitor Service team, including the Information Centre, Cashier's, welcoming our visitors and supporting the busy public programme calendar. 

You will be working on a rostered system, including some evenings, weekends and especially in the busy holiday periods. Auckland Zoo is open every day, only closing on Christmas Day.

He kōrero mōu: About you

You will have two years' experience within a customer facing environment, with excellent customer service skills and the ability to build rapport easily with customers. You will also have good time management skills, have the ability to multi-task and previous cash handling experience is advantageous!

Each day will present different challenges, so you'll be able to cope with the unexpected in a professional manner while displaying empathy for all our customers. As the first point of contact at the zoo, you will have a high level of personal presentation.

You will also be keen to learn more about and work within the Visitor Operations space. You could be working as a concierge one day and in the Information Centre the next.

Permanent Part-time (16 hours, Saturday, Sunday)
Permanent Part-time (27 hours, Rostered Monday to Sunday)
