Parking Officer

Auckland Transport is changing Auckland into a City for the future with a more connected and frequent public transport system, safer walking and cycling as well as simpler fares. But there is one role that plays a key part in keeping Auckland moving. They require great customer service and great fitness along with a sense of humour

Parking Officers

Are the face of Auckland Transport working to keep roads clear and make sure you can find a park when you need it. They play a key role in providing great customer service and educating people about parking restrictions - It's not all about ticketing!

You'll get to know Auckland, walk over 10,000 steps and have a great uniform to match.

Officers do work on a rotating roster from 7:00am to 7:00pm over a 7-day week/8-week cycle. This includes 4 weeks Monday to Friday, 2 weeks Sunday to Thursday and 2 weeks Tuesday to Saturday.

What we look for

People who are great communicators and enjoy being active in their role. You'll be able to work with a range of people and stay calm in the face of conflict. You will also need:

  • Full clean New Zealand Drivers licence
  • Clean criminal history with no pending charges
  • New Zealand Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Be physically fit and be able to use handheld devices
