People and Culture Coordinator

A leading Electrical Engineering Consultancy in Christchurch is looking for a qualified and experienced People & Culture (HR) Coordinator to join their team on a permanent, full-time basis. This is a newly created role and therefore the ideal candidate will have experience in setting up Human Resource and Recruitment processes and functions.

If you are looking to advance your career in the human resource space, this is the role for you as it will inevitably develop your skills and knowledge of the HR and recruitment environment. Other benefits will include working in a modern and collaborative office, with the opportunity to really grow with the role as they place a lot of emphasis on training and upskilling. Occasional travel to their Wellington and Auckland offices will also be required. 

Key duties will include but are not limited to:
  • Provide administrative support during recruitment, induction, performance management, employment relations, HR policy and procedures, learning and development and exiting
  • Ensure the necessary HR policies are in place and carried out; e.g. pre-employment checks, induction and onboarding of new employees
  • Maintain all personnel files in line with changes to contracts, salary reviews, pay rates and market information and ensure all HR records remain up-to-date
  • Ensure accuracy and confidentiality of all personnel files and HR information
  • Support the development and maintenance of HR policies and procedures
  • Assist the Senior Management Team with reporting and analysis
