He angitūtanga: The opportunity

 

Situated in our East Coast Bays Leisure Centre, as a Recreation Assistant, no two days will be the same! You’ll help us deliver an exciting range of community fitness and school holiday programmes. 

 

In this frontline role, your responsibilities will include, delivering exceptional customer service to our customers and visitors supporting with the delivery of a variety of exciting programmes for children aged 5-12, helping the Centre maintain a caring, fun and safe fitness and leisure environment, providing assistance to Centre management with administration and operational duties; and supporting with Centre activities including sporting leagues and daily timetabled programmes. As a netball umpire, you will use your knowledge and experience to officiate netball games and maintain a high level of judgment to ensure a consistent and fair game.

You are passionate about sports, a qualified netball umpire or coach, and ready to step into officiating our sports leagues. You have sound communication skills, confident in managing group dynamics and highly organised with a flexible approach.

 

You will hold a First Aid Certificate and have an understanding of health and safety procedures

This is a casual opportunity, so you’ll need to work flexible hours as and when needed, including weekends, early starts and late finishes, and be available to work our holiday programme which runs every School Holiday Term.
