Project Engineer- Medical Devices

Award Winning and privately owned this South Auckland Medical Device manufacturing company is undergoing further expansion.  They have developed cutting edge tissue regeneration technology, with the main emphasis of the company being improvement of patient welfare, simplifying operating procedures and reducing healthcare costs.  Currently they seek to appoint a Project Engineer to contribute to process improvement, new product implementation, production upscale projects and daily maintenance and calibration activities.

Responsibilities include:

  • Fabrication Process Improvement Projects – development and implementation.
  • Process and Product transfer from R & D into manufacturing.
  • Qualification of new equipment.
  • Building and maintaining productive working relationships.

To be considered for this role you will ideally possess the following skills and attributes:

  • Degree or higher qualification in engineering preferably mechanical/biomedical or mechatronics.
  • Experience in an engineering role in medical devices or equivalent field.
  • Able to work in a highly-regulated GMP environment.
  • Demonstrated hands-on mechanical skills - machining, fabricating, etc.
  • Proven experience and responsibility for resolving diverse technical processing challenges.
  • Project Management experience with a track record of leading change and meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A highly motivated, results driven attitude

This role will be both rewarding and provide ongoing challenge.  There will be opportunity to further develop your career as the company grows. This is initially a fixed term 9-12 months role with opportunity to become permanent.
