Medical Receptionist

Love working at pace? This role will keep you on your toes! You’ll be juggling sometimes conflicting priorities: responding to doctors’ needs, answering phones, dealing with a wide variety of patients and suppliers …  and on it goes! The administrative aspect of the role can be demanding and you’ll need a very keen eye for detail and a love of process.

You’ll be welcomed by an energetic, fun-loving team who love what they do!  Everyone works as a valued member of this close knit, harmonious team, there is no pulling rank here!

The role will involve:

  • Greeting and making patients welcome and comfortable
  • Managing incoming calls
  • Booking appointments
  • Accurate, detailed patient registration
  • Monitoring the waiting room checking arrivals and ensuring very sick or distressed patients are cared for and managed
  • Ensuring charges are accurately assessed, processed and receipted
  • Manage subsidy schedules
  • General office duties such as correspondance and document management

For success you will need:

  • A calm, mature approach with an optimistic, compassionate nature
  • Methodical and organised with a proven flair for process and detail
  • Strong team player
  • Some medical knowledge helpful as is some experience of Medtech
  • Enjoy a busy, fast-moving multicultural environment
  • Stable work history
