Organisational Strategy and Performance is a small branch with a big job. We provide direction, oversight and leadership across Internal Affairs around risk assurance, project governance, legal services and strategic planning.

There is a permanent role available in this high performing, busy team.  You will be someone who:

  • has sophisticated relationship management skills
  • enjoys navigating ambiguity and complexity to help define the direction of travel for the Department and
  • is able to describe the strategic direction of the Department in an easy to understand way.

The Strategy and Performance group has a really ambitious work programme to deliver.  If you are excited and energised by the work we do, and you can bring enthusiasm and some different thinking to our team, then we want to hear from you.

We’re looking for people with political nous who like meaningful and challenging work. We tackle the meaty, strategic issues in the Department of Internal Affairs and we need people who like to be close to the action.

Understanding of Te Āo Māori and its application in our mahi is desirable.

You will need to be available for interview in the week starting Monday, 30 September.
