Receptionist role with a leading private sector firm

Receptionist role with a leading private sector organisation based in Wellington CBD.

Are you a recent graduate with hospitality or front of office experience?

Are you passionate about customer service and working in a fast paced and professional office environment?

Your new company
Exciting opportunity to work within the insurance sector for a private sector services firm that have an excellent reputation within their industry. They are now looking to recruit a bright and enthusiastic Receptionist who will enable them to deliver their products and services to existing and new clients. Your new office will be based right in the heart of Wellington CBD, not far from the Wellington waterfront.

Your new role
Being the ‘face’ of the company you will be immaculately presented and have superior communication skills to aid in liaising with each client enquiry. To some extent this is quite an autonomous position, therefore the successful candidate will be self-motivated and driven to manage their own workload although you will receive support from your team. Duties will include but not be limited to the following:

  • Receive visitors at reception, answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls
  • Arrange domestic travel and accommodation bookings
  • Management of incoming mail and courier collections
  • Managing the set-up of meeting rooms
  • Organising stationary and catering orders
  • Accounts support and liaise with creditors and action any follow ups as appropriate
  • Arrange the set-up on equipment for new starters


What you'll need to succeed
You will be a recent graduate with some previous experience in an office environment, either in an administrative role or in a customer facing customer services capacity. You will have a passion for building relationships with colleagues and other external stakeholders. You will be competent in using Microsoft office and other office software. Having a mature work ethic will help you to prove yourself quickly in a fast paced yet professional environment.

You will hold a valid NZ work visa to be successful in securing a permanent role with this organisation.
