Lead the greatest little contact centre

Take your place in an emerging movement, helping to build financial capability in thousands of New Zealanders. You will be the leader of a small team with wide-reaching impact. We need your innovation, passion and leadership skills to help us build a brighter future for all people struggling to keep on top of their finances.

MoneyTalks is a recently established, free financial helpline run by FinCap, the national organisation supporting local financial capability and budgeting services. Our mission is to provide easy access to help for people experiencing financial hardship. Four of our amazing, trained Financial Mentors respond to hundreds of calls, texts, emails and online chat messages every month. Many of these callers are referred onto community organisations to get the support they need to turn their financial situation around.

FinCap, established in 2017, leads a sector of 200 financial capability and budgeting services from all over Aotearoa. These are free and independent organisations which have played an important part in New Zealand communities for more than 50 years. Financial Mentors in these organisations helped an estimated 70,000 people in 2018, and have helped over a million people over the past few decades.

Located on the bustling Lambton Quay, you’ll be leading your team from the top floor of the FinCap office.

In this role, you will be the coordinator for the MoneyTalks helpline. You will use your leadership and coordination skills to support a small, diverse team of helpline operators to run the helpline effectively. You will reach out to businesses and organisations to increase referrals to the helpline.
