LinkPeople works with the most vulnerable members of our communities to provide access to safe, affordable accommodation and link them to the health and social services they need to return to independent living. We’re working together with a number of key organisations as part of a community-wide approach to end homelessness in Auckland. This role is at the heart of our bold strategy, giving you the opportunity to think outside the square and create transformational opportunities for the people you support.

The Role

We have multiple full-time positions working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday between the hours of 8:30am and 5:00pm.

Joining a highly skilled and passionate team that shares a strong sense of social justice. The purpose of this role is to provide support to people who are at risk of losing their tenancies, and to also provide support around sourcing permanent accommodation and housing solutions. You will work alongside people and families to develop creative solutions and plans to maintain their tenancies, while advocating for their needs and aspirations. This role involves working in partnership with other government agencies, including Housing NZ and the Ministry of Social Development (MSD). You will have relevant experience in supporting people and families with high and complex needs. You will be culturally attuned, thinking outside of the square and creating opportunities for people you support.

This will involve managing the complexity associated with working with people and families with high and complex needs, often living with intergenerational challenges including poor social support, health, addictions and trauma issues as well as financial hardship.

We’d love to hear from applicants with a range of clinical and/or lived experience, with qualifications in health preferred. A confident communicator and relationship builder, you’ll quickly build credibility while showcasing your sound problem solving and conflict resolution skills. Your ability to work at pace and flourish under pressure will be complemented by excellent attention to detail and proficiency in clinical documentation. You’ll have knowledge of, and demonstrate utmost commitment to, the Treaty of Waitangi principles and working with Maori. A full New Zealand full driver’s licence is also essential. We would also prefer you to hold the New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (NZCHW) or a recognised equivalent.
