Mechanical Power Transmission Application Engineer

We have a position available for a self-motivated and passionate Mechanical Power Transmission Application Engineer to join our team.


What will you do?

  • Support our sales teams through technical assistance for Mechanical Power Transmission products to the Engineering and Sales Network 
  • Design and development projects for internal and external customers
  • Product assessments for faults and failures 
  • Support Sales Management with statistical data
  • 2D/3D CAD drawing and calculations with Excel 
  • Share your knowledge and learn from our very experienced team
 Who are you? 
  • Ideally you will have a BEng (Mech) or equivalent, NDE Mech and/or relevant Industry experience with Mechanical Power Transmission Products
  • Previous similar experience will be an advantage but not essential 
  • Excellent written communication skills, including report writing 
  • Clear verbal communication skills, this role requires interacting with senior staff, branch staff, customers directly and presentations to different stakeholders - a strong command of spoken English is essential 
  • Practical hands on experience and capabilities with mechanical components
  • Competent MS Office skills, particularly Excel
  • Current valid NZ Driver's license
 
In addition, you will need to be reliable, self-motivated and task driven and show good levels of initiative. A lot of this role requires you to think outside of the box and interact with many different stakeholders.
