Laboratory Technician - Tauranga

Who are we looking for?

Due to Fulton Hogan’s ongoing growth within the Region, we are looking for a Laboratory Technician to join our team based at Poplar Lane Quarry in Tauranga and deliver the good work Fulton Hogan is known for. 

The job

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a unique laboratory which carries out testing on aggregates and soil. This is the perfect role for somebody who doesn’t mind getting their hands dirty in an exciting and varied work environment. No prior experience is necessary just the right can-do attitude as full training will be provided.

You will be involved in field testing and some physically demanding work, so a passion for variety and a good level of physical fitness is a must! Our laboratory provides timely technical services to a number of internal and external customers whilst ensuring the continuation of IANZ requirements.

Experience and attributes;

  • A positive attitude and willingness to go the extra mile.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.
  • Proven ability to work both within a motivated team and individually.  
  • Full Class 1 License.
  • Physically fit with the ability to lift 25kg product samples.
  • Interest in building a career in the lab.
