Centre Manager - Early Learning Centre

About the role

As Centre Manager, you will use your strong leadership and management skills to take your teaching team to the next level. You will be a fully certificated teacher and have experience in a leadership role.

Duties

  • Lead your team to create an environment where children are engaged, and their interests are developed and shared with their whānau
  • Manage a highly effective centre including budget, monthly profit and loss, occupancy and frequent absences
  • Manage day-to-day centre operations, including staffing, enrolment plans and marketing initiatives
  • Recruit, induct, lead and develop an enthusiastic capable centre team
  • Counted in ratio, weekly total of 14 hours of management and professional time.

Skills and experience

  • ECE qualified and fully certificated teacher
  • Experienced in a leadership role
  • Skilled in developing strong relationships with parents
  • Experienced in attracting new families
  • Ability to lead and inspire a teaching team
  • Passion for quality practice standards and commitment to the principles of Te Whāriki
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
