Job brief

An exciting opportunity has come up for a savvy and innovative Product Marketing Manager to join Re-Leased’s passionate New Zealand (Napier-based) product team.

You’ll play a pivotal role within the team managing both our internal and external product marketing activities. Presenting our products internally in ways to help all of our staff around the world gain a clear understanding and insight into the value our product can deliver for our customers, and externally showcasing our products in ways that will strengthen our brand and boost sales. 

We believe that product development and marketing go hand in hand. As such you will be embedded as a part of our product team - taking part in our software development and delivery lifecycle alongside the product managers, developers, product owners and QA teams. Making sure that we’re maximising the value and messaging opportunities with each piece of shipped software.

You will be the subject matter expert for all product related enquiries in the marketing team and work collaboratively with colleagues company-wide.

Responsibilities

  • Study company products (and translate technical details into benefits for our customers and staff alike)

  • Follow and analyse market trends to assist in positioning products

  • Develop product marketing strategies (pricing, feature or product launching in conjunction with the wider marketing team)

  • Craft compelling messages and promotional materials across product specific marketing channels (fact sheets, demo videos, release notes etc)

  • Work closely with our product development teams to maximise marketing value from each (weekly!) release and communicate this effectively to our customer base.

  • Evaluate projects using relevant KPIs and feedback from existing and prospective customers

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Product Marketing Manager or Brand Manager

  • Experience in design and copywriting is a plus

  • inDesign experience

  • SaaS background or technology experience

  • Experience in market analysis

  • Familiar with product marketing tactics (e.g. integrated marketing campaigns)

  • Working knowledge of web analytics tools (Google Analytics, etc)

  • Excellent communication and people skills

  • Keen eye for detail

  • Creativity

  • Analytical mind and strong quantitative skills

  • A bias for action (getting stuff done!) - we want you to drive this role!
