Community Administration Officer

What the job involves

Reporting to our Governance Team Leader you will be responsible for the administration and connection between core council activities, information and services and our Reserve, Memorial Hall, and Hall boards. You will provide a first point of contact and ensure that requests for information including finance, health and safety, property and human resources are directed to the appropriate department. You will also work within the Governance team assisting with preparing council agendas, taking minutes and advising on standing orders. The successful applicant will be computer literate, have an eye for detail, and experience dealing with customers and using Microsoft Office software.

Who are we looking for?

A confident individual who is ready to use their interpersonal skills to build solid relationships between the boards and all council functions. You will need flexibility with the ability to attend up to four meetings per month out of hours. Your can do attitude and the ability to fit in with an established high performing team are essential qualities. Your computer skills will be of a high standard and your friendly and outgoing personality and customer focused attitude will be second to none. Previous experience working in a committee secretary or governance administration role would be advantageous.
