National Operations Manager - Retail

As our reach is constantly expanding to shape the industry and create new opportunities for innovation, we are seeking to appoint a National Operations Manager - Retail to lead the Retail operations across our Defence sector. In this hands-on role, with a preferred base at Palmerston North but open to Auckland/Wellington regions you will be responsible for working side by side with our team to ensure the growth and the development of the ESS retail business.

You will be responsible for driving the retail strategy and transformation across the sector working collaboratively with the unit leads across the business units, utilizing your experience and networks to grow & lead the retail operations. Your experience in the latest food retail trends and marketing along with your instinct to thrive on opportunity to innovate, will see you as the expert within the business guiding and ensuring the teams are successful in all spheres related to retail & the intricacies involved in this sector.

As a successful candidate, you will have over five years of experience in a similar senior retail operations position with demonstrated experience within food retail & marketing, sales and operations environment. As an experienced ,passionate retail leader, your strong analytical, financial and business acumen will help drive & deliver sector outcomes and your wonderful ideas making this business even more successful. Your strong attention to detail, retail expertise with a marketing flair and ability to set and achieve targets, including the ability to motivate and lead the performance of others within the business sector leading to growing the existing business.
