Technician - Data Processing - part-time

The opportunity

We are seeking a Technician for a part-time permanent position in our Data Processing team based at our Wellington Laboratory. The successful applicant will be responsible for data analysis of samples across each discipline within the Food team. Please note that our lab operates six days a week. The hours for this role are Wednesday - Saturday, 10:00 am - 4:30 pm.

About you

This is a great entry level role for someone who has an interest in Science or preferably majoring in Chemistry or other related major. Ideally a minimum of one year's experience working in a 17025 accredited laboratory environment is preferred, ideally with data processing experience. Strong computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Excel, and the ability to learn new systems quickly are essential. This a fast paced work environment, with high volumes of data processing, within a highly regulated industry space so experience in a similar environment would be advantageous. Full training will be provided for the successful applicant.

You will have excellent time management and be a team player with clear communications (both written and verbal) with an eye for detail and a passion for quality customer focus. Flexibility to work extra hours when required is ideal.
