Business Administrator - Part-time

We are urgently on the hunt for a bright administrator to join our Wellington office to provide general administration and reception duties. This newly created role is key in supporting the APM team to deliver a variety of services required by our clients in a professional, timely and caring manner - could this be you?

If you are seeking good work life balance, this part time opportunity may be perfect for you!  Hours of work are 24 per week worked on three days - Monday and Friday and one other day to be negotiated.

About you

We need someone who is well-presented and professional as you will be the friendly, helpful face to greet our clients in the office.  An excellent telephone manner and the ability to remain cool under pressure is also essential, as you will also be dealing with clients, health professionals and case managers on the phone.  You will therefore understand the importance of good communication skills and providing excellent customer service.

You will have intermediate basic skills in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.  You will also be using our in-house database system which, no doubt, you'll pick up quickly as you're a fast learner.  Your duties will also include data entry, so accuracy and attention to detail is key.

Being a touch-typist would be a huge bonus – with a typing speed of 45 to 50 wpm. Check out your speed at https://www.speedtypingonline.com/typing-test

You will need to hit the ground running, have lots of energy and the ability to work autonomously and proactively. In addition, you will have that "can-do" attitude so important in our organisation.  There are a number of key stakeholders and you will need good time-management and problem-solving skills to balance competing demands and priorities.

This role would suit someone with one to two years’ office administration experience. Your personality, willingness to learn and attitude are what we are looking for, the rest we can teach!
